Global Security:
"The collective efforts, policies, and measures to
ensure the world’s safety, stability, and well-being."
About Me
Studying Global Security While Exploring The World
I am a doctoral candidate in Global Security at the American Public University. My research focuses on various topics that impact global security: space security, climate change and security risks in river deltas, non-traditional security threats in island nations, specifically pandemics, new climate change risks, and natural disasters.
I work as an adjunct professor of political science at Georgia Military College. My previous experience includes a science support role at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, I am a Fulbright grantee to Romania, researching climate change and security risks in the Danube Delta.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking the local peaks in Southern California, and when I travel for conferences, I always make time for a hike at my travel destination.
Hiking encourages a healthy and balanced lifestyle, offering physical, mental, and emotional benefits that contribute positively to academic and personal development.
Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. – Robert Frost
